You/Me/Us (prologue) by Amanda Acorn. Photo by Joffrey Saintrapt |
the evening begins with amanda
she enters by not
entering
she settles & composes into
Being
as
our searching eyes
settled
resting finally
on her Being
so she enters
or rather Becomes
Takes On
the scene
looking very lovely
red
black
purple
grey
later she
unpockets a flame
pulled out from the black
a flame with which we could
Light a thousand cigarettes if only we were to not
misplace it
yes. there were
found lights
worklights
lamp - tall, standing kind
then i think a six by nine
projector ( short throw ? )
fluorescent light tubes
& that aforementioned flame
she lay there
she looked me in the eye
& smiled
i've often wondered
why we don't do shows
right after yoga
in the yoga studio
when everyone's bodies are
supple.
when we are most connected
to our own bodies
one could expand
& contract with her
like those fireworks on her belly
later marking 'manda's new auburn hair
i liked the giant shadow of an amanda
her turns and wrinkled silhouette
cast upon the corner walls
" it was a beautiful repose "
yes.
and it was about Permission
[ expand, contract & repose were someone else's words ; do add your own below pls & thx. ]
